METHODS OF TEACHING

Become a Licensed Instructor with Our Methods of Teaching Program!

Are you a South Carolina Licensed Esthetician, Cosmetologist, or Nail Technician with at least two years of experience? Take the next step in your career with the Southeastern Health and Wellness Institute's Methods of Teaching Program.

This 45-hour program is a requirement set by the SC LLR Board of Cosmetology for professionals aiming to take the State Board Examinations and become Licensed Instructors in South Carolina.

Southeastern Health and Wellness Institute is excited to introduce Denise Liddle to our Methods of Teaching Instructor Program!

Denise is a 17-year veteran educator with a strong passion for instructional design, teacher mentorship, and adult learning. She holds a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business.

Throughout her career, Denise has led professional learning initiatives and supported curriculum development across multiple levels, specializing in:

Effective lesson planning

Assessment strategies

Classroom management

Instructor development and mentorship

Her experience uniquely positions her to guide licensed professionals as they transition from practitioner to educator!

As a Methods of Teaching Instructor, Denise is dedicated to helping future instructors:

Schedule: Monday 4:00PM - 6:30PM & Wednesday 5:00PM - 7:00PM (10-week program)

Spring Session: May 11, 2026 - July 22, 2026

We are EXCITED to have you at Southeastern Health & Wellness Institute! The FIRST STEP is to schedule a Facility Tour to view our 150,000 square foot campus in Richland County, South Carolina! From there, our amazing Admissions Team will educate you on our active PROGRAMS and assist you towards your dream career!

P.S. Make sure to have a $100 Application Fee ready to go, as well as a copy of your High School Diploma, Transcript, or GED – along with two forms of Government Issued ID. Let’s do this together!

For our licensing programs, please bring the following to class on your first day!

Highlighters, pencils, pens & plenty of paper for taking notes
Small pencil box for storage of metal implements
3-inch wide, 3-ring binder with a front cover insert sleeve
Medium pencil box for storage of facial brushes and medium-sized implements
100 clear, 3-hole sheet protectors
l Box of 3×4 index cards
Black, Red, and Blue fine tip permanent markers
